As I sit here and think about what I would like to type all I can say is Colton and I will be starting our own blog! This is a sad decision for me and I almost feel as though it was forced when Josh decided our family was not what he wanted! So here we go embarking on a new adventure! Cheers!! Josh, Colton and I got back yesterday from visiting Josh's grandma in Albequerque, NM!! We had such a great time just visiting, relaxing, eating, eating and eating!!! Josh's grandma is an amazing cook!!! She certainly made sure we were never hungry! Josh's parents came to CO last Friday because their niece was getting married!!! We went up to the mountains on Saturday for a bbq at my bro. in-laws house!! So peaceful up there! Sunday we went to this amazing golf course near the foothills for the wedding! Colton was the life of the party with his little outfit!!! He was mighty dapper showing off his little bowtie! I have a lot of pictures that I need to upload (next post)

Josh has finished school and I could not be more proud of him!! This is his last week at Fed Ex and then on to new adventures!! He starts his new job on Sept. 7th at Openhiemer Funds where he will be dealing with mutual funds, retirement, etc....! He is so excited!! Way to go Josh!!!

Hailey started 3rd grade a couple of weeks ago and is loving it!! She is such a little book worm!!!

Colton is doing good! Battling a little cold but is still remaining happy!! He has begun to sleep through the night only waking once!!! Such a happy moment!!! He will be 7 months next Wednesday and is getting bigger and bigger by the minute!! He loves to eat and try new things!!

I am keeping busy with different things!!! Colton keeps me pretty occupied!!! I will be posting pictures soon!! Promise!!!

Pick all your jaws up off the floor, yes I have finally decided to do a blog post!!! We have been so busy around here lately and this is one of the farthest things from my mind!!! Where do I begin!! Colton and I took a trip down to Arizona the beginning of the month to visit with my family!! We were able to have him blessed down there so that all of my family could be there!! It was very special!! Grandpa Bair did a great job!! Colton looked so handsome for his big day!! He is getting so big!! He has his 4 month checkup on Friday!! I wonder how much he will weigh!!! 2 months he was 1 ounce shy of 13lbs!!! WOW!!! Colton loves to eat!!!! We have started him on some veggies and he loves to literally slurp them down.... Not spilling one single drop! He is one of the happiest babies I have ever been in contact with!! I am not just saying that because he is mine.... I would be very honest... For instance, he decided it would be appropriate to wake up every hour on the hour last night!! I will tell you it was such a special treat!!! It was really special trying to keep going at work today!!! Oh I was dragging!!

Hailey is doing really well!! She is so excited that she gets to be in 3rd grade!!! I cannot believe it!! She is such a smart little girl and loves to learn anything and everything!! She is such a big help when it comes to Colton!!! She loves to hold him and make him laugh!! He loves his big sister!!

Josh is doing great!! He has a couple more classes to finish and then he will be an official college graduate!!! We are so proud of him!! This has been quite the journey but he has managed to get through it!! YEAH!!! Congrats!!!!

As for myself, I am doing fantastic!!! Just taking in day by day all that life wants to throw at me!! Good, bad, ugly, funny, interesting, etc......!!! I am enjoying our little family, we truly are blessed!!!

My heart smiles!!! We are so blessed to have Colton in our home! I feel incredibly lucky to have such a sweet little guy!!! I cannot believe he is already 3 months!! It really has not gone by that fast for me, however, looking back yes it has!! I cherish every precious moment I get to have with him!!! I love cuddling next to him and taking a nap!! He can melts my heart continually! I cannot wait to go to AZ tomorrow so that I can share him with the rest of the family!!!

Colton was 12 weeks old yesterday!!! I cannot believe how fast this has gone! However, I must say, I enjoy every precious moment with him!!! He certainly has me around his finger!!! Colton slept in his crib last night for the first time!! We have been trying it out lately but this was the first night that he stayed in there until 5:00 this morning!! I brought him into our room to sleep the last hour in his cradle!! I figured I should get some pictures of him snoozing tonight!! He is holding tight to his teddy bear!! He makes my heart smile!! I love him so much!!

Easter and Other Happenings!!!!

We have had such a great Easter weekend!!! We had dinner last night with our neighbors across the street and the food was mighty tasty!! Josh smoked a ham in the smoker and it was heavenly!!! Since he was working on that yesterday morning I took Hailey and Colton to The Wildlife Experience!! We had such a fun time and Hailey was able to do all sorts of fun arts and crafts!!! She even got to plant a flower and bring it home!! Colton and Hailey sat on the Easter Bunny's lap... This was the first time Hailey met him!! We certainly will be going back there!!!

Colton was 2 months old yesterday!! He is getting so big and is becoming more and more alert!! He is so much fun and smiles at everything and everyone!! He has his doctors appointment on Friday so we will learn what all his stats are!!!

Work is going well, we have been busy busy busy with spring break but it is dying down slowly!!! We only work 3 days this week so that will be really nice!! I am looking forward to spending lots of time with Colton!!! I have posted some pictures from our adventures!

I must apologize that my blog entries have become very scarce lately! I must confess that it is easier to post a picture on FB and jot a couple of things down than to login and blog! I need to get better and back into the habit! However, my excuse is this adorable little boy who steals not only my heart but my attention!!! I cannot believe that Colton is 7 weeks today!! Next week he has his 8 week checkup at the doctors and we will know all of his stats!!! All I know is that he is getting bigger by the day!!! I love it!!! He has quite the little personality and all those around him he draws them in!!! Colton does very well at night and we are averaging about 4-5 hours of solid sleep!! Myself on the other hand is not so lucky!!! However, I am lucky in the sense that I get to watch him sleep next to the bed in his cradle, I love it! He loves to look at things and take it all in, he especially loves when we turn the fan on.... He could stare at it all day! Today Colton got to finally meet Pappy!! (My step-dad) Bob was in heaven holding him and was able to spend about 4 hours with us before going to the Springs for work!! It was good to have him here!! We certainly enjoyed it!!!

I cannot believe that Colton is 6 weeks today!!! This past month has gone by so incredibly fast, I know it only gets faster but I do not want to think about that!!! We love him so much and he amazes us daily with things he is learning!! He loves his tongue, splashing in the tub, watching the fan, bouncing in his chair, sleeping in his car seat, smiling at all those around him, sleeping on mommy's lap while she bolgs (Is that bad?) and many other things!!! He is such a sweet sweet baby!!!

I did it....! I went back to work today and made it through without shedding tears!!!! Believe me I was torn up on the inside!!! You never know how much you will miss someone until you have to leave them!! Thankfully Josh and I found the perfect family to watch him!! They live right around the corner from us so it makes for an easy commute!! I only had to work today and I will be back for good on Monday!!! However, I have already done it once so the 2nd, 3rd, 4th.... time will be a lot easier!!! Whew!!!

Being off from work for 5 weeks has really given me a chance to look at things in perspective!!! I think I can go back to work with a new attitude and a new sense of appreciation!!! Things that I thought were a big deal, really are not!! Having Colton around has really opened my eyes to things that matter most!!! What matters to me is my family!!! My relationship with Josh, it is amazing to me how different things have changed for us in this short amount of time!! I see him in a new light... I get to see him interact with Colton everyday and my heart just swells with so much love for the both of them!! I love watching them together!! I also love watching Josh with Hailey!!! She is such a sweet little girl and has such a big heart!! She adds so much to our family and I love her dearly! I have so many thoughts and feelings about things that it is hard for me to write it all down!! Some of it is very personal and I do not want to bore all of you with it!! All I can say is I like the new me.... I realize how important people are in our lives and what blessings each person brings to a relationship... Whether it is a spouse, child, family member, friend or someone you just met or may not even know!! I love to people watch, and I learn so much from others when they do not even know I am looking!!! I hope this was not to random for all of you!!! In my head it makes complete sense!

I know I take a lot of pictures of Colton but I can not resist!!! He looked so adorable today in his little church outfit!!! He is such a sweet baby and I know I say it all the time but we truly are blessed to have him in our home!!! Today while I was changing him I was looking at him and talking to him and he just started to smile..... I mean actually smiling like he knew who was talking to him and he liked it!! It was the sweetest thing!!!

Mr. Colton was 1 month old yesterday!! Wow can you believe how fast it all went!!! Josh and I cannot get enough of him!! He is the perfect addition to our family!!! He makes my heart smile daily, even at 3:00 in the morning!! He is starting to flash his little smile to me more often and I wish I had a camera close by to capture his grins!!! I love it!! He is starting to make little cooing noises as well!!! This certainly has been a great month!! I look forward to many many many more!! Mommy and Daddy love you!!!

Just A Little Update!!!

Seriously I cannot believe that our little boy will be a month old on Wednesday!! I really am not ready to head back to work.... However, it will be nice to finally get into our "normal" routine!!! No more sleeping in until the last possible moment... I have myself to get ready, plus a little person to get ready, feed, play with, change, etc.... Hello early mornings!! It is funny though how we are able to adapt! I swear I have been running lately on little sleep.... I am probably getting more sleep than I think.... Colton has been doing pretty well at night... He has his moments but don't we all!

I weighed myself today and then held Colton and it appears that he is now 9 pounds and some ounces!!! Big boy!!! Everyday when I hold him it feels as though he is getting a little bigger! To me he seems so big but when others hold him and I am looking at him he appears to be still so tiny! We love him so much and cannot get enough of him!!! I love all his little looks! I love when he is sleeping, opens his eyes stares at you for a moment, closes them back up and smiles at you.... As if he got confirmation that you are still the one holding him!!! I love it! He likes to be on his tummy and can pick his head up and turn it from side to side!! He is so strong!!!

I need to get some recent photos up here so you can all see how much he has changed in this short period of time!! I will try to get those up soon!!!

Yes it is true.... Colton was born 2 weeks ago! I cannot believe how fast everything goes!! He is so precious!!! He has his 2 week appointment tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to tell you all of his stats!!! Colton continues to change daily and has a personality to match!!! He loves his daddy and it is so cute to watch them interact with each other! I love when Colton turns his head towards you if he recognizes your voice!! He is always smiling and he does not hold back for anyone!! He loves to sleep but when he is awake he will look at your for hours!! I love it!!!

Can you believe that I am already a week old!!! Mommy and Daddy love me to pieces!!! They tell me that I am a wonderful baby and that they are so lucky to have me here!!! We are all getting lots of rest at our house and that makes us all very happy!!! I think I am a very lucky little boy!!!

The Wait Is Over.....!

I finally made it!! Born Wednesday February 3, 2010 at 11:23 am, weighing in at 7lbs 4ozs !! What a journey it was getting here!! My mommy checked into the hospital on February 2nd at 7:30pm and it all began there! At 8:00 they gave my mommy a pill to help with the progression of labor!! It must have worked because at 12:30am her water broke and she did not need a 2nd pill!! Dr. Grover came in and finished off what was left of the water! Mommy certainly started to feel the contractions after that all happened!! Finally they were able to give her some pain meds through her IV line and that made mommy very sleepy, but only for a short period of time! She was able to get a 2nd dose of the happy juice!! The nurses finally told mommy that she could have an epidural and she was thrilled! Mommy did not like when she got the epidural, they told her to hold really still but right in the middle I decided I wanted to have a little contraction!! Sorry mommy!! You were so brave! Shortly after the medicine started to work my nurse Kelly noticed that my heart rate was beginning to do funny things.... This was certainly alarming for her! She handled it so well and was great with mommy reassuring her things were going to be fine! Before we knew it mommy was getting pumped with lots of meds, oxygen was given and the labor process was being stopped! The doctor and nurse thought that the cord was wrapped around my neck and an emergency c-section was the game plan!!! Mommy was such a trooper and daddy was such a big support for her!! Shortly thereafter I arrived perfectly healthy!! However the cord was around my neck and I was head down but face up... Thank heavens they decided to take me early!!! Mommy and daddy cannot get enough of me and love to cuddle, play, smile, laugh and take great care of me!! I know I am going to love being with them!!

Yes my belly has offically grown!! However, this is the last day so it does not matter!! We are very excited! We are heading out in about 20 minutes or so! My clothes look really tight in this picture, however, I wanted to see what my 12 week picture looked like compared to my 39 almost 40 week picture!! Makes me smile!!! I will let you all know!

Not really my to do list but I am taking off today so that I can get our house in order!! In order enough that my mom will not think we live like a bunch of monkeys.... Ok that is an over statement!! They house is usually pretty clean.... Just needs to be straightened up! Tomorrow I have my last dr's appointment before the big day next week!!! I will keep you all posted!! Last night Colton was moving constantly.... I thought by now they run out of room, seriously he has plenty of room to roll, stretch, kick and whatever else he feels like doing in there!!!

There is something to be said about a scheduled delivery.... I know it takes the fun and surprise out of everything but it is nice to know that in about a week we will be sharing our lives with a tiny baby!!! I still cannot wrap my head around what is going to happen!! I am really excited that my mom fly's in on Friday and will be able to stay for 3 weeks!!! I cannot quite say I am nervous but the thought of a little person being completely dependent on Josh and I for everything is a little crazy!! We are up for it and we are ready!!! I have waited so long for this opportunity and soon it will be a reality!! I am excited.... Can you tell!!!!

The Turkey is Almost Done....!

I never in a million years thought that my belly button would come out.... I have one the deepest buttons and there was only a tiny slit that made an opening!! Here we are at almost 39 weeks and my belly button is starting to come out slightly.... A big part of it is still hiding, but when Colton is in the right spot it looks like it is about there!! I will laugh if the whole thing pops out come next Tuesday!! We shall see if the saying is really true.... The turkey is done!!!!

Dr. Stimmel got the entire staff pedicures for Christmas along with other fun little things!! Ihave been saving my certificate which is very unusual for me to do!! Friday my friend/ co-worker asked if I wanted to go with her to get our toes and fingernails painted!! Of course!! Now that I know we do not have much longer before baby Cotlon arrives!! I stole the idea from my dear friend Pam who had her toes painted blue when her oldest was born!! I think it was a great idea and the make me smile every time I look down!! My feet and ankles are beginning to swell at different times during the day so it was great to be able to get pampered!!! This salon did such a great job! If you live in the Highlands Ranch area I would highly reccomend them!!!

Our family will get to meet baby Colton in about 13 days!!! On February 2nd at 7:30pm I go into the hospital to be induced!!! I cannot express the feelings and emotions going through my head!! We have a cat named Rory he is such a sweet cat and has been a good addition to our home! We got him about 4 months ago and I do not think I have ever blogged about him! Rory loves to play with Dash the cat across the street... They are about the same age! We watched Dash while our neighbors were on vacation over the holidays!! Dash got to spend the week at our house!! They had so much fun together!! Last night while going over to Jim and Robins to see if they wanted to come to dinner with us..... I opened the door and guess who was sitting outside waiting to be let in.... Dash! I laughed so hard because it was like a child coming over to play with a kid!!! It was almost as if he was saying.... I can cross the street without my mom and dad's help! It was hilarious!!! They played for quite awhile last night!! It was comical telling Robin that Dash had come over to play if she was wondering where he had run off to!!!

I could not even begin to think of another word to describe the title of this post!!! Yesterday was our 3rd and final shower before the big day!! I have to say a huge thank you to Amy, Kelli and Pam for 3 amazing showers!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! I cannot say it enough!!! Thank you all who came to the showers it was great seeing all of you!! I am a little slow at getting some of the cards out but they will be on their way shortly!! All we need now is our little baby to arrive!! 19 days, wow!!! It really has yet to sink in that we will be having a little one in the house!! I saw the car seat and stroller downstairs this morning and it still felt awkward, but in a good way!! It will be very real soon enough!!!

To the above tenant in possession of below described premises: I am issuing 23 day notice for EVICTION.

You will have 23 days in which you can either gather your belongings and promptly vacate the premises, or wait until the final day. After which, you will be physically removed from the property.

You are being evicted due to breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the FRONT of the house, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the house were also made! Remodeling and gutting of the home was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. And due to property damage, there are now leaks in both the upper AND lower levels of the home. On top of which, the landlord has received numerous complaints about nightly disturbances.

After 23 days from this day that you don't comply with the notice will result in immediate and forceful removal at my discretion.

Baby's Progress!!!

Here we are at almost 37 weeks! Baby is healthy and moving like crazy!!! I had a checkup today and was told I am 50% efaced.... Sorry if I spelled that wrong!! Colton's head is very far down and he is in launch position!! The doctor estimated Colton being as big as 9lbs! I know it can go either way but that is a whole lot of love!!! I will continue to keep you all posted!

I Was Doing So Well.......!

However, I fell off the wagon! I need to get back on it! This weeks challenges were to exercise for a total of 30 minutes a day!! Actually some form of cardio!! I have not been so diligant about it!! Kelli I know I need to get back into my groove or my backside will get into me!!!

Alas we have made it through the first week of our challenge!!! Yippy!!! Not only does that mean 9 weeks to go, it also means that I have another notch in my pregnancy weeks!!! Whew!! This is going by really fast! I feel as though I was just blogging about us expecting, then telling you it was a boy, then letting you know that all was well with his health and now..... drum roll, we have about 4 weeks left!! Aside from all of my goals that I have thrown out there this week; I think after Colton comes and I feel comfortable back to my old self, I may just treat myself to a cute outfit!!

Basically I have lived out of my scrubs, one pair of jeans (That I absolutely love) a pair of cords and some church dresses!!! I am thrilled that I have been able to wear most of my non maternity tops since maternity tops never fit me properly!! However, in these next 4 weeks I may need to start wearing them!!

Thank you all for keeping up with me this week as I had to journal so much!! I think now I can get back into the grove of updating our family!!!

What I Hope To Accomplish!!

There are so many things that I hope to accomplish this year!! However, I get to tell you 3 of them!!

1- Keep my sanity!! After this month I know that things are going to be a lot different around here!! Good different and I hope that I can keep myself balanced!!

2- Keep a cleaner home!! I do a pretty good job but there are times when it all slips away from me!! I know that I get a pass somewhat being pregnant but that excuse is only good for a little while!!

3- Be a better person all around!! I need to not be so hard on myself and roll with the punches!! I am excited for our new adventures!! I am excited that you all get to be there to experience them with us!!

My 3 Fitness Goals!!!

Here we are another day and I get to tell you all what my fitness goals are for 2010!! As I was talking to my mom I mentioned that the one fitness goal I have is getting a baby out of me!! She laughed!! However, if I had to pick 3 fitness goals they would be.....

1- Take stairs when available!!

2- Get back into a cardio routine!! However, this will have to wait awhile as I do not want to push myself to hard in the next couple of weeks!!!

3- Text more... My fingers need some good workouts!! Just goofing!!! For now I will say turn my house cleaning into a fitness routine.... You know sweep with sass!! When my mind is thinking clearly I am sure I will come up with a good number three!!! Maybe it is to just get more sleep!!!

Being with Josh!!! He makes me laugh constantly... At times I am not sure of his humor but I love it and I love him for it!! I think he is a wonderful man and an amazing father!! I know he is so excited for his little guy to arrive!!

Having Hailey in our home!! She is such a sweet little girl and has such a great personality!! I am grateful for the relationship that she and I have and know that it only will get better in time!!

Children!! There is something about children in general that make me happy!! When I see a baby in the room I light up!! I love the way they are so innocent and so forgiving!! I am grateful for my job where I get to rise to the challenge of working with them daily!!

My family!! I love my family dearly (Josh's included)!! Even though they are so far away and I miss them very much I know they are just a phone call away and I can talk to them whenever I want.... Even if it is several times a day!! I am so grateful for my mom who is willing to come and spend 3 weeks with our family to help out and take care of little Colton once he arrives!! Thank you thank you in advance!!

Friends!! I am grateful to have an amazing support system of friends around me!! It is nice to know there are so many wonderful people around to help especially knowing family is not here!! I know that we are well taken care of and that people are mindful of us!! I never realized how important a friendship really was until these past couple of years!!!

Here was the challenge for today.... We were supposed to keep track of everything that was eaten!! Oh boy!!! I know I that I was supposed to remember my portions but really all I could think about was getting the food into my belly!!! Colton lets me know when he is hungry, and it is often!!

Graham Crackers and milk (yummy) woke him right up!

Mid morning snack-

Toasted English muffin with butter

A whole bag of baby carrots with ranch dressing!!! Seriously this kid is going to have great vision!!

I had lots of water to drink!! No sodas!! Yeah for me!!! I still have another ham and turkey sandwich in the fridge left over from lunch... I always pack 2 because I usually have one on the drive home!! That will probably be eaten before going to bed as well!! I promise I am not a little piggy!! You all just caught me on a day where I had somewhat of an appetite! Good thing I did not have to journal when I ate the whole bag of little powdered doughnuts!!!!

Colton's Room!!

This has certainly been a work in progress but I must say I am very happy with the way it has come together!! We still need to get some things up on the wall so it does not look so bare!! We both put a lot of hard work into this room and the results have paid off!!! I am so grateful for a friend who allowed me to barter babysitting for a crib, glider, changing table, 2 full boxes of clothes and a jumper-roo!!! All of that for 2 over nights with 4 year old twin boys!!! Not bad at all!! I redid the glider, well just the cushions!! Trust me it is nothing fancy and if you ever come to visit please do not look at the backside!!!! However, it holds up and looks good! I will have more pictures as the decorations are set in place!!!

Nutritional Goals!!!!

I hope you are not all getting tired of reading all my personal insights!! I figure if I write them all down for you to read I am held to a higher standard to uphold them!! I am contemplating what I want to do better for myself nutritionally and what will be the easiest as we have a little one coming soon!!!

1- My biggest goal for this year is to bring my lunch to work more often. I really need to cut back on how many times I eat out! I am not saying I do it all the time, however, bringing my lunch would be best for me!!

2- Drink more water!! I love to drink water but there will be days that go by and I swear I have not had as much as I should!!

3- Fruits and veggies are my friends!! I love to eat fruit but I need to do it more often!! While in Arizona I loved picking the fresh oranges from my grandpas orange tree!! Oh they were delicious!!! YUMMY!!!!

There you go!!! I am on my way!!! Brought my lunch today, I am drinking water and I have already had carrots and a banana!!

Along with the challenge posted on This and That blog site we were asked us to write down 3 goals for 2010! Personal goals, I believe 3 nutritional goals are for tomorrow! So here they are.....

1- Become organized! Not only in my personal life but with things all around me! Josh would appreciate if I could conquer this one!!!

2- Come February get back to working out!! I have motivation!!!

3- Be a better wife and friend!! This is not something I lack but it is always good to improve upon!! I think that working on this goal in particular I may lose myself in the service of others!!

Yesterday I was working pretty hard on Colton's room and really the only thing left is to get the crib up and bedding in place!! Also we need to get some window panels for curtains! As I was sitting in the glider I was looking around at everything, the paint job, the changing table full of things to be used and I started to get teary eyed!! Is this really happening? Will he really be here in a month!! I have waited so many years for this opportunity to prove to myself as a mom what I can do!! If someone would have told me it would be 11 years after graduation this would be happening I would have laughed!! In seminary I was given the award most likely to be married first year out of high school! Thankfully it did not work out that way for me! I had a lot of learning and growing to do as a person! Josh and I will celebrate 4 years of marriage in a couple of weeks and to me that is a huge accomplishment! I do not say that negatively but we have been through our fair share of rocky waters!! Through it all we have come out stronger and we have come out better people!! I wish a baby would have been in the picture a couple of years ago but looking back we never would have made it!! I think Colton is coming at the perfect time and what a perfect way to start a new year!! I know he is going to bring so much into our home!! I promise this is not just wishful thinking that my baby boy will be perfect!! I know he will not be but he will be perfect for our little family!! And he will fit perfectly in our little world!! He has a dad and a mom who are thrilled and an older sister who I know is more than excited!! I cannot wait until he is here so I can finally hold him and get to know him outside the womb!!! I went to my 31 week check today and everything is going well! Baby and I got a clean bill of health! Our little man may be here before February and if I had my way that would be the case! I am measuring at 33 weeks which is a couple of weeks a head of schedule!! I have another check in 2 weeks and possibly another ultrasound down the road to make sure we are not dealing with a 10 pound baby!! Doctors words not mine!!! In the meantime I am slowly feeling a little more uncomfortable, but tolerable! I am very excited to be going to AZ in a couple of weeks to see family and friends that I have not seen in quite some time!

Stayed tuned, I have more to post, like Josh putting the Christmas lights up and the outcome of him painting the babies room!!! He has outdone himself on this task!!! However, it may be a couple days before I get pictures of the finished product!!!

Stress Has Gone Away!!!

I have kept some of the pregnancy experience on the down low but I am finally ready to share my thoughts!! At 12 weeks I went in for my tri-screen ultrasound to check for any signs of down syndrome or any other concerns that there may be! I did the ulrasound mainly because I wanted to see how he was developing! After my screen I was called into my doctors office because they found some markers on the baby that were linked to downs. They drew some blood from me and as expected it came back saying I had a 1 in 30 chance of having a baby with downs. At my 20 week ultrasound they found another marker on his heart called a EIF that is also linked to downs. I decided to go and see a specialist to find out what I could and he told me that the baby looked ok, however, there was still fluid on his neck (more than normal) However, not enough. He then said I was still a high risk because of my other test results. Another ultrasound at my regular OB was done again and I was told the spot on his heart was still there and the fluid was getting bigger..... Can I just say what a nightmare this was becoming! I was prepared to raise whatever child I was given, down syndrome or no down syndrome and it would not make a difference. Over the past several weeks I have researched all I could about down syndrome and learned what I could! Josh and I decided that we were going to do the amnio, well I decided for us! I had my appointment on Wednesday and they took the necessary fluid to send to the lab..... Today I got the call saying that everything was just fine! For the last 29 weeks I have been a wreck on the inside! We miscarried about 2 years ago and from the get go with this little guy I have not felt great and I have had my fair share of appointments so I was beginning to feel very stressed! For the first time in months I am finally able to smile and be excited and not have to worry about waiting for answers!! We have them and now we can concentrate on getting him here safe and sound!!! Thank you to those who knew for your multiple prayers and words of encouragement!! They meant so much to us!!

Here are some great shots from my appointment today!! Look how handsome his little face is! I cannot believe how much he looks like Josh! His head is measuring about 2 weeks ahead, no cause for concern... And they say he weighs about 3 pounds!! WOW!! Slow down there baby boy! As you can see with most of my other photos he loves his hands! I was not supposed to have a 3d ultrasound today but the nurse switched it up on me!! Happy day!!!

My Fear Came True!!!

Well it finally happened.... I always wondered what it would be like and now I know!! I know what it is like to be driving and throw up!!! I was not able to pull off the side of the road because of traffic, so I grabbed a grocery bag and the rest is history! The only bad part was there was a small hole, lukcy for me it was not a lot! Also lucky I was on my way to work and I had extra scrubs there!! What a great morning!!!

The third trimester!! Can you believe that we are already here!! I am amazed at how fast this pregnancy is progressing!! Crazy! We are both very anxious and excited to meet him!! He is quite the little mover!! I am convinced that he has a nose like his daddy!! His little lips and nose are precious in the first picture!! What a doll!! We have about 13 weeks left until d-day!! I remember peeing on the stick and now we are here!! Before I know it he will be here!! I have another ultrasound on the 18th so hopefully I will have more photos to share!! On Wednesday I have my 28 week check and I have to do the sugar test, hopefully I can keep the drink down!! I will keep you all posted!!

Halloween and Other Happenings!

Hannah Montana graced us with her presence last night for the Halloween festivities!! However, by the end of the night the wig was not such a big hit! Hailey loved her costume! We went out to dinner with Jim and Robin and then came home and I took Hailey trick or treating! Josh has been battling a cold so he got candy duty! We had a great time!!

I had another ultrasound on Wednesday but they are unable to figure out why there has been so much pain on my right side! It may just be where he is choosing to lay! He is quite the active little guy! With such a little personality already! I do have pictures from my drs visit that I will post once I get them scanned! My doctor called to go over results with me on some things we have been monitoring with him and I asked him how big he was, he said he is now a whopping 1 pound 14 ounces!! He is getting big!!

Last Tuesday night it began snowing and snowed until Thursday evening!! We got about 15 inches at our house! Nothing like getting a halloween costume just to have it covered by a big jacket!! Oh well, we do not mind the snow!

Weekend Road Trip!!

Last weekend my neighbor Robin and I ventured to South Dakota to get my car back from the deer incident over labor day weekend! Despite the quick trip we both had a great time! We went to a place called Cosmos which makes you feel all sorts of dizzy....(I do not think being pregnant helped that) It took me until the next morning to recover from it! However, Robin loved it so that was good! The whole tour consisted of several optical illusions. A ball rolling up hill, water rolling up hill, rooms that are crooked that you can hardly stand in, standing on a ledge and leaning out like you are going to fall but gravity is pulling you back.... I did not get it at all! After the tour we ventured on to Mt. Rushmore!! We were there for quite sometime because I wanted Robin to see it all lit up! I am so happy to be back home again with my car! I have to say big thank you's to Josh's parents and his brother for all of their help with this whole thing!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Dr's Appointment!!

I am happy to report that the baby and I received a clean bill of health today!! Babies heartbeat is going good and strong! I was thrilled that Josh was able to go with me to this appointment today and have some questions answered by the doctor.... Ones that I have not been able to explain properly! Everything is looking good! I have a cyst on one of my ovaries so I will be going in for another ultrasound next Wednesday!! I guess that means more baby pics to post soon!!! The cyst is ok, just causing alot of pain, they want to check if it has grown since my 20 week scan! We shall see!!! Baby is moving like CRAZY!!! I love to feel him, however, it makes me jump every now and then because I am not expecting it, or he got me really good!!

Kids Say The Darndest Things!!!!

I was working with a little 5 year old patient yesterday who was being extremely difficult during her cleaning, however, managed to get her all taken care of!! I needed to get x-rays on her so I took her into the other room to complete the task at hand! I bent over so I could talk to her face to face and told her my rules for taking pictures!! I told her I have a baby in my tummy so she cannot kick, scream or push my hands away! It seemed to do the trick! Before I started taking her pictures I grabbed a couple of pills for a headache that has been lingering! She asked me what I was doing and I told her I was taking medicine for my head since it hurt.... She then proceeded to ask me if I thought the baby had gone up to my head!! Oh my goodness I laughed so hard to myself!! So funny!!!!

While taking a drink of water several weeks ago a little boy asked if I was watering the baby so he would grow!!! HAHAHA!! I love working with these kiddos! You never know what they will say next!

24 Weeks!!!

Here we are at 24 weeks or as I like to put it.... 6 months!! This pregnancy has flown by! However, I know I still have several more weeks to go! Got a little sick a couple of mornings ago but have been feeling good the past couple of days!! Could have done without a couple of naughty patients this morning, woke him right up from his slumber!! Either because I had to talk very firmly to them or because one of them rammed their head into my stomach! Oh I was not a happy camper! People, control your children or keep them at home!!! Please do not think my job is bad for me right now, I love what I do and this was only one child out of hundreds I see!!! Eventually I will be working up front but still able to do chairside with the families that request me for cleanings!! I feel so loved!

Brown 1lb of hamburger in skillet

Seperate Sauce Pan (Large)
1 can red enchilada sauce
2 cans refried beans
2 cups salsa
1 can sliced olives
Velveeta cheese to thinken and for taste

Mix hamburger in with rest of ingredients and eat with chips!!! I personally liked the scoops with it!! Very yummy!!

Pumpkin Launching!!!

For a moment yesterday I felt as if I were in some small town and pumpkin launching was the big sport!! Because only people who are crazy decided it would be a good idea to venture out in 26 degree weather to watch such a thing! My neighbor Robin convinced me to go and watch people with homemade cannons launch pumpkins through the air!! After about 30 minutes of sitting on a frozen beacher, we decided that it was probably time to call it a day! Seriously I could not feel my legs, they were so numb!! I have never been so happy to have hot chocolate.... The cup was so warm against my cheeks!! By the time I was almost done drinking the goods, it was already cold.... I must say it was quite commical!! There are no words to describe, you had to have been there!!

Pretty sure I am ready for a warm tropical vacation!!!! Today we broke a record here in Denver for the coldest October 10th in the history..... A whopping 25 degrees!! I am patiently waiting for this little guy to make me 10 degrees warmer.... Any time now little guy!!!

Today while doing various things I found myself thinking about how our lives are going to be changing in the next few months! With friends of mine who are finishing their journey of being pregnant and seeing the overwhelming joy a new baby brings.... I cannot help but think of our little boy! For nearly 20 weeks I was expecting to be told that we would be having a little baby girl, I am not sure why but that is how I felt! However, knowing in the back of my mind I was probably wrong! Well as you all know we are having a baby boy!! Let me first start by saying in my mind now, I cannot imagine having it any other way! I am so excited to be having a little boy! I think I am even more excited for Josh!! When my patients come to the dental office I now immediately zero in on the little boys, I love to watch everything about them! What makes them happy, what they are willing to try, what cupboards they are going to open, how long before they realize they can make the chair go up and down, etc....! I just cannot help but be excited!!

There certainly has been a rash of baby boys born in our family! My cousin and his wife welcomed a baby boy about 5 months ago, my brother and his wife welcomed a baby boy about 2 months ago, my cousin and her husband welcomed a baby boy just over a month ago, my cousin and her husband just welcomed a baby not to long ago, and my other cousin will have a baby boy in November!! Whew!!

So here is to 3 1/2 more months of patiently waiting!! I cannot wait to meet him!!

Enchilada Soup

This is such an easy recipie and so yummy, especially for the cooler weather!! If you do try this out, I would love to hear what you think about it!!

3-4 chicken breasts
2 cans chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can El Pato
1 Packet of enchilada seasoning
2 cans homine (White Corn)
2 cans hot chili beans
Velveeta cheese (1/2 a block)
Onion (To taste)
Flour tortillas on top

Mix all of these ingredients into a crock pot and let it cook all day! You can add crushed chips on top when you serve also you can add cheese, sour cream, etc... Or eat plain!! I promise it is really good!! Let me know!! Happy cooking!

This little boy has been so active today!! I finally decided to lay on my back and see if I could actually see any movement in my belly...... To my surprise... Yes, I could finally see him moving!! Not only can I feel him, I can see his movements! Happy day! I am sure he will be moving a lot more once the lemonade I drank makes it to him!!! I just thought I would share that!!

My mom was on speaker phone so we both got to be very surprised together!! Dear Family and Friends of my daddy, mommy and big sisters blog!

First I would like to say thank you for keeping up with our family. There have been many changes this year.... Next years changes will consist of my diapers! I feel I must tell you that I have been very comfortable here in my mommy's womb, very dark, warm, sometimes quite, I get to do what I do best.... Grow, grow, grow, sleep and make mommy sick. I am sorry about that last one, however, she handles it so well! I am beginning to move around quite a bit as I need to strech and kick and figure out what these things are hanging off my body.... I am told they are called arms and legs!! My favorite piece of these are my thumbs!! They tell me around this stage of growth I am beginning to suck on them! Yummy!

Mommy has been eating some pretty yummy food lately, however, I am sure quick to let her know what I do not like! Sorry daddy, your breakfast burritos are not bad they just do not sit well right now! I sure am excited to meet my daddy, I hear him mumble things to mommy and it makes her laugh really hard, he must be pretty funny! Maybe I will have his personality! I am also really excited to meet my big sister Hailey!! I hear she has 3 little sisters already and loves helping with them, playing with them and making them laugh!!! I think we are going to get along really well!!

I am excited to meet my grandma's and grandpa's!! Pappy also makes mommy laugh when he is on the phone with her , he must be pretty silly!! I am excited to meet Ma, I hear she likes to spoil the grandkids!! Maybe I will get to spend lots of time at their house in sunny San Diego!! I am also really excited to meet Great Grandma and Grandpa.... Mommy calls them Nana and Grandpa!! They call mommy to check up on her to see how she is feeling!! Her voice always sounds so happy when she is on the phone with them! They must be really special to her! Daddy's family is really funny just like him! I am excited to meet them! They all got to go camping and had such a great time! I enjoyed the yummy ribs Aunt Jenny made and the amazing corn on the cob!!

I am really excited to meet all of my Uncles, Aunts, and cousins!! I have lots of cousins! Lots of kids for me to play with!! Even though I am going to be one of the youngest I know I will love playing with all of them!! I am really excited to meet Aunt Kelli, she sounds like she is such a great aunt!!! Mommy loves reading her blog and watching all the funny videos that she posts!! I know she watches them several times, I hear her laughing!! Then she calls daddy and Hailey into the room just so she can watch them again!

I am especially excited to meet my mommy!! I do not know who is more excited me or her!! I think it is a toss up!! I know she has been waiting for me for a long time!! I know I will be everything she ever wanted and more!!

The more I write this letter the more excited I am getting to come and meet all of you!! I think daddy and mommy have the best family and the best friends and I know I am going to be very loved!!! Oh little one where are you growing... My belly is not getting big by any means, not that I am complaining.... Maybe you are growing in mommy's bottom, hips and thighs... Or maybe there are two of you and you are growing in mommy's chest.... Oh little one! I know I am going to wake up one day and realize my belly is in fact much larger, but for now (pardon the pun) I will wonder where you are?!?!?
I like what this whole pregnancy is doing to my hair!!

I grew up in Arizona where the temperature is always hot!! Well technically November-March are pretty decent! Perfect actually! However, today in Denver we are right around 50 something degrees with a light rain.... Hard for me to put my head around the fact that most of my family has temps about 50 degrees warmer than ours!! Hang in there you guys, cooler weather will be here soon!

There are a million things running through my mind right now, however, I cannot make sense out of one thought! I do not like when this happens! I cannot believe that on Friday I will be 19 weeks along!! WOW! This baby making machine is working hard and working fast! I feel that time has gone by so fast! Halloween decorations are already being put up in the stores!! You know what comes next..... Christmas decorations!!! WOW!!! Teperatures are beginning to fall and I know the cooler weather and snow is just around the cornor!!! Happy day! So there you have it, a very random post about literally nothing.... But happy nothings!

Stockade Lake....!

Josh, Hailey and I were able to spend part of Labor day weekend up in South Dakota with Josh's family! We all had a great time despite things that went wrong! We arrived later on Friday night and we were greated with great company and yummy sloppy joes! I was snacking on Saltines, fruit and pretzels most of the way up, so you can imagine my excitement to have something more solid! Saturday morning we all sat around and visited while the kids, Josh and Uncle Vance played with a wooden airplane, they thought it was great! Some people decided to go swimming at the lake right by the cabins but to get to the beach you needed to drive! Everyone that was going packed up and was off! I decided to stay back at the campground to relax and enjoy doing nothing! Except eating delicious salsa that Josh's mom made!! Thanks Gina!! Later on that day the crew started coming back from the lake! I finally saw Josh and Hailey rolling up and when they parked I noticed that my hood was very different! I over heard them say that a deer ran out in front of the vehicle and struck the car! UGH! The headlight was popped out, the hood was bent up and the radiator was leaking fluid! All I can say is thank heavens for car insurance! We have great insurance and they were able to come and pick up the vehicle and have it towed to Rapid City! Meanwhile Josh's parents Tahoe was giving them trouble as well. Their water pump went out and it was over heating! Needless to say, their Tahoe was also towed into town! It was quite the trick getting everyone and their stuff back to Josh's parents but we managed!! Josh's brother Will was nice enough to let us borrow his extra vehicle and bring it back to Denver..... Huge lifesaver and a big thank you!!!

We are all back home safe and sound.... Just tired from a quick but fun vacation! Hailey had a great time playing with her cousins!! Josh and I had a great time visisting with family and catching up! It was nice to get out of Denver for a couple of days! Overall the trip was fun, despite what happened!! Thanks John and Gina for the cabins!! We had fun!

All you moms out there and soon to be moms, I am sure every woman experiences this..... I have become a bit of a nervous wreck.... Everytime I am between drs appointments I feel as though I am going to get some bad news when I go in! I am trying so hard not to think like this but I cannot help but continue to think it in the back of my mind something is wrong!!! I am just waiting patiently (or trying to) for this little one to kick me hard in the tummy one day! However, I have an appointment on September 18th and everything will be great!

Morning sickness wears off by the first trimester was very, very wrong!!! This post is not for the weak of stomachs! I do not tell this story for sympathy, just merely for the fact of documenting experience!! Tonight while getting ready for bed I became very nauseas!!! I was standing over the tub to see if it would pass and to my luck NO IT DID NOT!!! I did not even have time to get to the toilet until the 2nd go round and even that was a hit and miss!!! I called my mom and told her if she lived here I would have her help me clean up my mess!! I was so embarassed and I am sure the look on my face while it was happening was priceless!!! Embarassed to the point where I do not even want Josh to come upstairs because there is now an odor lingering in our master bathroom and bedroom that I am trying to air out!! UGH!! However, everything is cleaned up now..... 1/2 roll of paper towel later!! Sorry if this is too much information!!

You get the good, the bad and the gross with this blog site!! However, I do feel better!

Fun At Work!!!

Who do you call when Mc. Gruff the crime dog calls and says he cannot make it to back to school night..... Your friendly Tooth Fairy!!! Yes, that is correct, I was second best to Mc. Gruff!! I had a school call me last week to see if I could dress up as the tooth fairy for the kiddos!! I think it is funny that they would think of me but very honored at the same time! This is a pre-school that I have been to a couple of times so I was good enough to be invited back!! We had all sorts of great give aways and the kids loved it!! I hope you enjoy the pictures!! Especially the one with me little belly!!! Please do not send word out that the Tooth Fairy is pregnant!!! We do not want to explain that one to our children!!

Gearing Up!!!

Josh and I have been very blessed with friends around us who no longer need their baby gear!! Our neighbor a couple houses down moved and no longer wanted their crib!! Josh and our neighbor brought it upstairs to the room/ nursery tonight!! Very different having crib in a room of ours! Also the twins mom gave me their changing table which needs refinishing but will look wonderful once complete!! Several months ago I was helping a friend pack up and move to California, she has twin girls and had saved ALL of their baby clothes! She allowed me to take home bags and bags and bags of clothes! Many of them I have passed on to friends and family but managed to keep quite a collection!! She also let me have the baby bedding set.... We shall see if we end up using it!! It all depends on what we are having!!! If it is a boy, there will be a lot more baby girl items being given out!!!

The room will be repainted for a fresher look!! Lots of ideas!!

Patients at work wonder if I drink so much water because the baby needs water to grow!!! I just laugh to myself, sometimes out loud with the parents!!! I will get a better picture but this will have to tide you over for now.... Mom!!

16 Week Check-Up!!

I had a doctor's appointment today and they told me everything is going good!! The baby's heartbeat is around 152 beats a minute.... My blood pressure was on the lower end but they said there is only cause for concern if I become dizzy, light headed, etc.... I have gained about 4 pounds which I was quite happy with! I know there will be pleanty of time to put some weight on!! Overall I got a good report!! Had some blood work done to follow up from my 12 week ultrasound!! Oh how I love being poked in my veins watching them suck the life out of my arm! Good thing shots have never really bothered me!! I will continue to keep you all posted!!

As for my magic pills, I know why they work so well.... They cost about $25.00 a pill!! Thank heavens for insurance and good co-pays!!!

The dogs I mean dog would rather not be at our house! I was cleaning the house today and was using the vaccum cleaner and I know how Jax does not like it so I put him in the backyard for a moment and.....yup you guessed it!!! Gone! Are you kidding me! We just sprung him from jail for $65.00! For those of you who have been following the story you probably think we are terrible! Honestly I did not know the gate was not shut all the way, yes I should have checked! Yes he should have had his tags on.... But it was only for a moment! UGH! I guess he went to find Dakota! I put an ad on Craigslist, hopefully someone will see it on there! I cannot tell you how frustrating this is! I am ready to throw my hands in the air and call it a day!

What A Week!!!

I realized that I have not posted anything for quite sometime so I will try to give a run down of what has been going on in the Giardino household!

*Dogs were taken to a local shelter known as "The Dumb Friends League" saw their mugshots yet again online.... After much discussion between Josh and I we decided that we would get Jax and leave Dakota for adoption! I know there are those of you who do not agree with our decission but it was best for our growing family and for her! Dakota needs to be with a family that can devote more time and attention to her! She will also get current on all her shots and will be spayed as well! It was very sad to see her in there but I knew what was best. Jax is happy to be back home and does not let us out of his sight!

*I got some magic pills from the doctor!! I think they are a miracle drug and if you have morning sickness I would recommend you get some! I take one pill every 8 hours and I am happy to report after a sleepless and long night last Tuesday the last time I threw up was this morning! That was only because I gagged while brushing my teeth!! It is nice to finally have some type of appitite back! Food is still not my friend because nothing sounds good to me! However, popcorn seems to work and my coworkers enjoy eating it with me! Also I have become a big fan of orange juice with ice!!! YUMMY!!! I guess I could consider that a craving!

*Yesterday I had a great day at work!! Seriously by the end of the day it felt like it was a party at Dr. Stimmels! We brewed coffee for the last patients parents and they were all chatting in the waiting room like it was a Starbucks! A mom had a bad day at work and we were able to cheer her up with a $25 gift card to Nordstroms! Dr. Stimmel is really good about that with parents! Always trying to make it a little easier!

*Now that my stomach is not constantly churning I have become a little more quick on my feet! Always ready for a good come back!! Makes for several good laughs in the office! Keeps the enviorment light hearted and fun!

*Karen is my carpooling buddy!! She keeps me smiling in the morning and on my way home from work!!! (I wrote that special for you if you read this!!!) We like to tease eachother and I am glad she is back at Dr. Stimmel's office!! She may not feel the same way about me!! :) HAHAHA!

*Josh and I are getting excited for the little one to arrive!! I know that we still have more time but it is fun to talk with him about it! We talk about names almost every night!

*I am finally able to keep a handle on the appearance of our home! For awhile all I wanted to do is sleep.... I still do but I manage to get things done around the house!! I am even getting better at making dinner!! So much that last week I cooked meals on Monday for the entire week!! It actually was a huge blessing!!

There are many more things to report on but I will save that for another post!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Hugs!

I Have Had It....!

With these dogs!!! Yes it is true we found them and they came home last night and yet again they have taken off!! I am so done with this!!!! Especially Dakota.... Not only did she eat all the granola bars in my purse last night she also ate a headband that Haiely's dear friend Kaiden brought back from Texas (Hailey does not know it was devoured!) This takes the cake..... She managed to bust open by chewing vigerously on the bottle my pre-natal vitamins!!! AGGGGHHHH!!!!!! Apparently she thought she needed them!!! And now they are gone!!! UGH!

Last night I got an idea and decided that I would check Craigs list to see if the dogs were posted on there by some random chance!! I had to get a little creative in my searching, however..... On August 1st there was a post stating that 2 dogs had been found in our area..... Check out this amazing mug shot!!!
I called the guy last night and we were able to arrange for them to bring them home tonight!! So here we are exactly 1 week to the day later and the dogs are safe at home! The couple was so nice, I offered them a gift card to Petco and they refused to take it!! They just hoped that we would have done the same for their dogs.....!

Things To Be Excited About.....!

Last night my neighbor Robin took me to get a baby album for the little munchkin for my birthday present! We looked at a couple of different places and I finally found one at Halmark that I love! I found a picture of it online the only problem is they do not have the color.... Use your imagination!! The book I got is the one on the far left and it is a neutral color since we do not know what we are having yet!! I love it!! While out and about we also stopped at the Gap so I could look at the Maternity clothes! It has been warming up here and I do not have shorts that fit comfortably!! I was so excited when I spotted these cute shorts and the best part is... They were on sale for only $15.00!!! Love them!!!

Jax and Dakota.....!

What can I say about these two dogs!! Apparently they decided they did not need Josh, Hailey or myself in their life anymore and have decided they can live on their own!!! They have been gone since Friday evening! They are not at the local shelters, and I keep thinking they are going to come home.... They have done this before, however, this by far is the longest they have been away! I secretly think this was Dakota's idea.... She was so naughty!!! However, we do miss them and if they have found new homes, I know that they will bring much happiness to another family!! I keep looking!!!
