What Have We Been Up To.....

We have had such a busy couple of weeks.... It certainly has been a lot of fun!! I had a great birthday that resulted in a huge squirt gun fight and cake with our neighbors.... Here is a run down of the fun!!

About 3 weeks ago my sunflowers finally made their debut and are now hanging on for dear life!!! I love how bright they are... Certainly a good additon to the yard!

Our neighbors were getting rid of a huge box that they got their pato furniture in... I saw the box and thought to myself this would be a great house!! I asked if I could have it. The next day I decided to paint the box (Random I know) and convert it into "Rosies BBQ" Rose being Hailey's middle name she thought it was appropriate! She helped paint some little pictures on the side!! On Thursday night the neighbor kids were playing in it and brought over some snacks.... We went through the "drive thru" and the took our orders... So professional!! They had a great time!!
We went camping to a Lake called "Jackson Lake" it is a state park here in Colorado. The lake is located on the eastern plains towards Kansas!! I decided to braid Hailey's hair for the occasion and did our little neighbor girl Peyton's as well!! Both turned out so very cute!!

Josh and Hailey left on Friday morning with our neighbors for the lake. I had to work on Friday so I drove up later with Jax..... I am now no longer a fan of driving on the eastern plains in the middle of a HUGE storm.... I was watching the storm build to the north of me while driving and thought I could stay on the outskirt of it.... WRONG!!! I had to drive straight through it!! UGH... I seriously thought I was going to be stuck in a tornado. I stopped on the side of the road as hail began pelting my car.... I was actually scared!!! I finally managed to turn around and go about 3 miles back to get under an awning at a gas stating! There I called my mom to let her know of my adventures... She and Bob enjoyed listening to the storm through the phone.... I finally made it to the lake and we had such a great time!! The lake was so warm... Felt like bath water... The kids could walk out about 1/4th of a mile and only be in chest deep!! Jax loved the water and looked like a little otter.... He loved sticking his entire head and body under water to find his favorite toy!!! It was quite the site! Hailey and I went out on a boat ride and rode on the tube... She was such a trooper even when we slid out and she had to lay on her back in the middle of the lake... A little nerve recking for her but I reassured her that I would never let something bad happen and she had a life jacket on and this is what they were for.... She was fine and dandy after that!! Josh was able to get a lot of fishing in... which he loves so that was great! I took some pictures of the girls up at the camp site while he was out in the water! I wish I would have taken more photos but we were in the water most of the day!! FUN FUN FUN!!! I cannot wait to go camping again! However, it is great to be home!

The little girl getting into the camper and sitting with Hailey is Peyton our little neighbor!! Mom this is the little girl that just pops over to our house just to say hi and get a hug even when Hailey is at her mom's!!

It looks like you guys had so much fun camping! Including Jax! Sorry you had to go through the hail storm to get there though! It's great you are able to do so much with the neighbors. The sunflower looks very cool! I love sunflowers in yards and in the wild. The drive thru is so cute! What an imagination. I'm excited for October to get here!!!
