Disney Playhouse!!

Josh and Hailey painted the stairway/ hallway today a brick red color!! It actually looks really good, however, it is not completed!! What you see in the picture is only the base coat... Josh is planning on getting it done tomorrow with the hand rails back up!! (Mom and Nana that will make you happy) While the two of them were painting they decided that they were on a painting show and both of them were the hosts!! It was quite funny to hear the two of them going on and on about painting... Hailey decided that they were acutally on an episode of Disney Playhouse!! Where do these kids think of these things.... Yes I know that is a real show :) I will get more pictures up on our site as soon as it is ready!!!

Meet "Jax"

Josh and I were given a 6 year old Golden Retriever from a coworker of mine... His name is Jax and fits in perfectly with our family!! We are both so excited for Hailey to meet him tomorrow, we know that she is going to love him!! He loves to play fetch and I was outside earlier throwing snowballs and he was bringing them back to me.... On a couple of occasions he ate the ball of snow instead, then looked around everywhere trying to find it!! It was qutie comical!! I love watching him burry his head in the snow as if he had just found a treasure!! I am so proud of him, he was home all day today by himself and I did not find one mess to clean up!! Good Boy!! However, he was more than anxious to go out when he finally saw me!! He also enjoys giving hugs, high fives and shaking your hand!! I will certainly get a picture of Hailey and Jax together!!

Fashion Icon!

I was busy making dinner last Friday night when I checked in on Hailey in the other room and discovered that she was playing dressup!! She decided that it would be appropriate for her to wear her ensamble at the dinner table!! It reminded me of that McDonalds commercial.... Hopefully you know the one I am talking about!!!

First Snowman Of The Year!!

A couple of weeks ago while Hailey and I were waiting for her mom to pick her up we decided to build a snowman!! This is a very small one and he must of had a complex because by the end of the night he decided to take his life and fell down!!! May he rest in peace!! Hailey sure had a good time making him!!

Where Has Time Gone?!?!

I cannot believe how long it has been since I have posted to my blog!! I am such a slacker! Truth be told I have not been feeling up to speed the past several weeks and I all want to do is lay down when I get home from work!! Josh and I have been keeping ourselves quite busy with work and the holiday just around the cornor!! Can you believe it?!?! We have Hailey at noon on Christmas day and we are certainly looking forward to this... As it will be our first Christmas with Hailey as a family! I have so much to catch up on so if you will all bear with me I will post again soon!! Promise!! Hugs to all and a great weekend!!

Lions, Tigers and Bears.... Oh My!!

What a fun day Hailey and I had today!! I picked her up from Kindergarten and our adventure began!! Last night I was trying to think of somthing fun that I could do with Little Miss since it was going to be such a georgous day today!! 50 degrees on December 5th was perfect Zoo weather!! Hailey was most excited when I told her where we were going!! Josh started driving full time at FedEx so it was just the girls today! However, after the zoo I took Hailey down to where Josh's route was so that they could visit while he was on his break! She was so happy to see him! I was quite surprised to see that most of the animals were out today and that there was no crowd in sight!! Past experience has taught me not to go to the zoo on a weekend, a free day or when the Christmas lights are on!!

We loved watching the monkey's play and climb on their toys. One of the monkey's reached his hand out and was grabbing the bushes to get the twigs off of them.... Not sure if he was eating them or if it became a game! There were peacock's roaming free all around the zoo and a couple of times they walked up to us.... Hailey wanted them to spread their feathers out!

Hailey's favorite animal by far is the Giaraff! However, she did enjoy watching the seal and sea lion frolic in their pools!! She could have stood there for hours.

Hailey laughed so hard when I told her elephant poop was as big as rocks... She could not believe it... I could not believe it myself! These animals are huge!!I loved watching the bears... I could not believe that I was standing 10 feet from them watching in amazement and knew I was completely safe! I told Hailey how Grandpa Barber saw a black bear in the white mountains and he video taped it!! She giggled!! What a beautiful animal!!

We had such a fun time!! Thanks Hailey for being my date today! I had so much fun with you!

Family Fun Time!!!

Sunday after we got home from church we decided that it would be fun to decorate Gingerbread Houses with Hailey!! We had such a great time decorating the houses, snacking on graham crackers and eating frosting!! Hailey did not have a lot of luck building hers so dad helped get hers up and going!! She was so proud of it!! Dad's house took the cake.... He built a chimney on his and took cotton swab cotton to make it look like snow!! What an imagination!! We turned up the Christmas music and went to town!!
