Dashing Through The Snow!!

Josh, Hailey and I had a great time this weekend up in the mountains!! We had so much fun together as a family!! Hailey enjoyed swimming in the pool, playing housekeeper, going on a sleigh ride, jumping on the beds, going to get ice, playing with the hotel key, etc.... Josh is staying up there this week driving for FedEx so we decided to all go up on Saturday and Hailey and I would come home on Sunday!! It was nice to get out of town if only for 24 hours!! We had the opportunity to take a sleigh ride and it was so amazing!! Hailey loved it! She even was able to pet the horses!! What a treat!!
While Hailey an I were driving home on Sunday afternoon I lost brake power coming down the mountain!!! After stopping a couple of times to fill up on brake fluide I realized there was no way we were going be able to make it! We had already been on the road for almost 4 hours (Usually takes 2 to get home) Traffic was a nightmare and all the stopping and going was not good for my car! I decided to pull off in Georgetown (about 5o miles from Denver) to call Josh... He and I decided it would be best to be towed back to Denver!! Thank heavens for roadside assistance!! They have saved me now twice in a week!! Last Tuesday I ran out of gas! That is another story!! Long story short... The tow truck arrived in Georgetown at 9:45 we were out of there by 10 got to Highlands Ranch to drop off my car around 11:15, tow truck took me to my bosses house to get her jeep so we could go home... We were back home at 12:15 on Monday morning!! Whew that was a crazy night!! I must say Hailey was such a trooper and kept me entertained the entire time!!! She is such a sweet little girl and I am grateful to have her around!! The lady who worked the front desk and the hotel we were waiting at for 3 hours was so good to us!! She offered Hailey and I blankets and pillows so we could rest up a little! I could not help taking such a sweet picture of Little Miss!!
Needless to say we made it home safe and sound!! The car was fixed yesterday and it is a blessing that Hailey and I were so lucky that the brakes did not go completely out on us!! Thank heavens for answers to prayers!! Even offered by a 5 year old!

I am so glad your family had a great time on your adventure in the mountains. The sleigh ride sounds so fun! You are so blessed and lucky to have Hailey in your life! I am so grateful for your safe trip home. Sometimes the best prayers are the ones offered by those "five year olds"!!
