A Big Hug and a Thank You!!!!

I just wanted to tell everyone thank you who called me today to wish me a happy birthday!!! I was working all day so I missed a majority of the calls but I smiled with each of them!!! Thank you to those who also braved singing on my voicemail!!! I loved it all!!! I miss you guys!!! Hugs!!!

Cure for Summer Time Blues.....!

We had a great day today!! We went to this restaurant called Perfect Landing and it is located by one of the older airports in Colorado. While eating our food we got to watch planes take off and land. It was such a treat! Hailey loved watching all the planes and telling us how she wants to go on one!!! Hopefully our plans will pan out for a trip to San Diego to visit Ma and Pappy in October!! (HINT HINT KELLI!!!) After we got home Hailey and I went swimming at a friends neighborhood pool!! It just so happens that they live in Hailey's same neighborhood so she was able to see some friends from school. Hailey is on track (year round) so she started 1st grade last Tuesday!! I will have to get some pictures! We had such a blast swimming and ended up being there for almost 4 hours!! At least I have an AZ tan going for me!!! Thanks Jen, Landon and Sawyer for letting us come and play at your pool!!!

Poor Jax!!

Jax has been spoiled these past couple of weeks!! I told Josh he was probably going to be sad come today and Josh asked why...? I told him that Jax has gotten used to someone being in the house all day!! Let me just say he was more than thrilled when I got home today. I was planning on coming home at lunch today but there were some birthday's they were celebrating at my office and the Dr. took us to Red Lobster.... Holy Cow!!! In a couple of weeks I will get to have my birthday lunch as well!!!

This new office is such a huge learning curve for me, however, everyone is so patient (Parden the pun) and I felt pretty comfortable. Today I assisted with a root canal, extraction of a 12 year molar, some fillings and some other things.... CRAZY!!! Hopefully I will catch on rather quickly!!!
But for now I will take it one day at a time!!!

Moving On!!

After 3 and a half years in the pediatric dental field I have moved on. I left Kids DDS 2 weeks ago for different reasons and I am happy to report I start my new job tomorrow!! I am really looking forward to this transition. The day I left my other office I knew I had to find something fast and this office was one of the first offices I dropped off my resume that same day!!At the time I left it they were not hiring, however, a week later I got a phone call asking if I was still looking. They asked if I could come in last Tuesday to meet with the office manager!! They also had me take a personality test. Who knew there were 160 questions to determine somebody's personality. I must have passed because they called me back a couple hours later to see if I could do a working interview the next day!! I am not used to doing general dentistry however, I saw some really cool things that day! After I was done they offered me the position!! I was thrilled!! The best part about the job.... I only have to drive about a mile or so to get there!! YEAH!!! I feel so blessed to have found something so quickly and so close!! Walking out on a job is not something I reccommend however, it has been nothing but GREAT since I did!! Thanks everyone for all of your support!!!

Our Personal Fashion Show!!

Hailey and our little neighbor girl Peyton love playing together and last night was no exception.. Peyton ran next door to get all of her dress up clothes so that she and Hailey could give us a fashion show! They were so funny!! It is nice having someone so close that Hailey can play with!! She loves spending time with her!!

Ready to Bloom!!!

Our sunflowers are getting big and you can see that they are ready to open up!!! I would say maybe the end of next week they will finally open!! I hope!!! It has been fun watching them grow! Some of them are now taller than Hailey!! She of course thinks that is awesome!

In and Out... Not Possible!!

I left dinner cooking and bananna bread in the oven while I ran to Safeway for what I thought would be a quick trip.....! I am beginning to realise that is not possible. I swear, everytime I go to the grocery store I have pamphlets, ballots, boy scouts, girl scouts, etc... However, I do like the girl scout cookies... Anyway while walking into the store I had an employee tell me about their savings rewards at the gas pumps and the more money I spend at Safeway I get 10 cents off.... Hello, I know that.... It is only printed on my receipt everytime I go!! Congratulations, you saved 10 cents. Then I proceeded inside only to be encountered by a photographer studio doing a promo... For only 10.00 you can have a beautiful picture of your family.... sign here, what time works and now we need your money!!! I told them I was not interested! UGH! I felt like I was Jim Carrey in Liar Liar... The scene with the bum...

Bum: Got any spare change?
Fletcher: Why not?
Bum: Well, could ya spare some?
Fletcher: Yes I could!
Bum: So, why don't you?
Fletcher: Because I believe you will buy booze with it! I just want to get from my car to the office without being confronted by the decay of western society!... Plus I'm cheap! AHHH!

Ok so I do not view them as the decay of Western society, but serioiusly I just want to get in and get out!!!! Am I the only one who feels this way?
